Starting today, establishments that are located in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) are allowed to accommodate or operate up to 100 percent of capacity, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said.
The capacity for dine-in services and fastfood establishments
are allowed at more than 50 percent capacity as long as social distancing and
safety protocols are strictly observed.
While some like barbershops and salons are allowed at only
75 percent of capacity.
Inspection by Department of Labor and Employment and Department
of Health may also be conducted anytime.
Secretary Ramon M Lopez said;
“So, it is important to continue gradually reopen but this
does not mean we have to relax our health protocols, in fact it is more
stringent now from face masks we also have to wear face shileds.”
He also added, “It’s been 6 months and I believe the virus
will not go away. The real solution is to open more, allow more workers to come
in so that we can bring back jobs and the income that will keep consumer
confidence.”
Some establishment that had just reopened like the drive in
cinemas, medical aesthetics, pet grooming and other personal services should
still remain in their current status of capacity.
Others like entertainment, tourism cultural centers and museum
are only allowed under MGCQ. Also the adjustments of mass capacity and
gatherings are only followed under MGCQ.
