LOOK: Half-Filipina Yuki Sonada Wins Miss Universe Japan 2020 2nd Runner Up

Filipina-Japanese Yuki Sonada finished 2^nd runner up in the recently concluded Miss Universe Japan 2020.

 

On her Instagram, she took the time to thanked all who supported her throughout her journey in the pageant.

“Words cannot express how thankful I am with all your support, help, trust, patience and love. Without you guys I would not achieve this placement.”

 

She also thanked Miss Universe Japan 2008 and National Director of Miss Universe Japan Hiroko Mima who pushed and inspired her to join in the pageant. It made her bloom into a new and much more empowered woman, she said.

 

Yuki also joined other pageants including Miss World Japan 2015 and Miss Supranational Japan 2016. Aisha Harumi Tochigi is the newly crown Miss Universe 2020.

 

She also congratulated all other contestants in the pageant, “To all girls we are all queens!!! Congratulations, you were all beautiful and wonderful! I will truly cherish the memories we had together. Each and everyone of you are special.”
