Videoke and karaoke sessions is now banned in Manila, it is
prohibited from Monday to Saturday. The City Government said this Thursday,
October 08, 2020.
The reason is to prevent the loud noises that can be a distraction
to students in their online classes. Manila Public Information Office (PIO) said
that Mayor Isko Moreno has signed the Ordinance No. 8688, it is to ban the videoke
and karaoke or other sound devices that can make noise.
They are not allowed to do karaoke sessions from 7am to 5pm from
Monday to Saturday.
Mayor Isko Moreno said he is receiving complaints from the
parents telling that their child or the students were distracted by neighbors who
were using videoke.
That is the reason why he also approved the ordinance. The
first time violators will pay a fine of P1,000 while the second time violators
will pay a fine of P2,000.
