One of our Pinoy Pride is Erick Pangilinan, one of the two art directors of the game. When he was a kid, Pangilinan is a Filipino who moved from the Philippines to United States. Pangilinan is now a veteran developer in Naughty Dog, and one of the key persons who are involved in creating the game and to bring it to life.

Erick Pangilinan is not the only Filipino developer in Naughty Dog, another Pinoy pride is Gabby Llanillo, a quality assurance tester for The Last of Us 2. Llanillo is currently a quality assurance lead on Naughty Dog.

Also, Naughty Dog recruited the support of Secret 6, a game development studio based in the Philippines. Secret 6 has offices in San Francisco and Madrid, but The Last of Us 2 officially credits on lists “The Studio of Secret 6, Inc.” which is the name of Secret 6’s studio in the Philippines that is in Ortigas. The Last of Us 2 development nearly credited 80 developers of Secret 6, that means a lot of talented Pinoy developers assisted in creating one of the highpoint games of the generation.

Secret 6 has also worked on various triple A titles/series aside from The Last of Us 2, including Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Naughty Dog’s own Uncharted series, and CD Projekt RED’s games, and a lot more.
